Matt Burk - President/CEO
Matt graduated from the University of California at Davis in 1986 with a BA in Economics. He relocated to Oregon in 1991 after growing up a lifelong Californian. After six years working for other banks, thrifts and finance companies, he founded Fairway Financial Services, Inc. in 1992. Fairway originated and sold both residential and commercial real estate loans.
In 1998, Matt formed Fairway’s successor company, Fairway Commercial Mortgage, and focused exclusively on the origination and servicing of commercial and investment real estate loans on behalf of private and institutional investors. In 2008, Fairway Commercial Mortgage became Fairway America and Matt has led the company in becoming Portland's leading private money commercial mortgage lender by providing outstanding value to its Correspondents, referral sources, borrowers, and investors.
Matt lives with his family in Lake Oswego, Oregon and enjoys cycling, reading, golf, yoga, travel and spending time with his family. He was the 2006-2007 President of the Portland, Oregon chapter of Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO), the world's most influential community of entrepreneurs.
